Oh, Black Betty

After a few weeks of hunting, we found a half sister to Chimaera; Arcadia. They share the same father, but not personalities! No one here has ever seen a mare strut, but she does!

Chimaera watched from her run, eyeing the new mare with distaste. Nearby stallion nickered at Arcadia, who responded my swishing her tail and lengthening her strides. It wasn't a surprise that Chimaera gave us an irritated stomp when she realized Arcadia was going to bunk with her. Over time, I think she'll forgive us.

“I don’t fancy sharing a run with you, but I don’t have much of a choice, do I?” Chimaera said, her ears laid back.
“Well, I don’t like it either.” Arcadia looked around, “You’re old and boring. You should give up the show ring to more skilled mares.”
“Beg pardon! I’m not much older than you, but I certainly have more experience than you could ever imagine.”
“Hah! You even speak like you’re old.” She nosed the sand without interest.
Chimaera said nothing, internally fuming.
